You saw it went from audio to what it is now. Finally, episode six. The raw truth talking directly to you, the audience.

Direct address isn't new though. You've done cold opens, disclaimers, audience call-outs before. What makes this actually different? Or is talking directly to you just a bigger phrase for the same move?

The difference is just trying. And again, we talked about it before. I'd rather try and be forgotten than be forgotten because I never tried. And it doesn't have to go any deeper than that. This is Take Aim. This is Episode 6. And this is where we go and talk directly to you guys. The one thing humans are good at is straight and simple directness. And that's where we're going.

Then let's start there with what the audience doesn't know yet. Why has this season been so personal to you, Rhino? The gas story, the boss story, the bike story, all of it. Why not keep it theoretical?

Because in this show, there's room for the theory and there's room to sit in the uncertainty. However, there's no room to not be personable. The personality and the personal reveals and me telling my story to give analogies is how I can relate to not just one person, but the human species, to say, you know what, that guy's going through some of his own shit too. Just as I know everyone else is going through their own shit. I'm not asking people to come run along and give up their lives to help out humanity. No, I'm saying let's help out humanity by bettering ourselves. You don't have to go out and do the things that I'm doing. You don't have to go across the world. You don't have to go and put as much effort in, but at least pick up the trash around you, at least hold the door open. Do something that is just a little bit nicer than what you normally would do. And I promise you the world will be a better place. And that's why it has to be personal. I have to show people how I am because then they'll be like, you know what, someone else is doing it. Maybe it's time I do it.

Back in EP02, I told you something I still stand by. Most people don't want the truth. They want permission. And that's not mine to give you. You never asked me for it again after that. So what did you actually do instead?

I did exactly what you said. You said you can't give permission. People don't want the truth, they want permission. So guess what? I took both. I took the truth and permission, took it both in my hand and decided that what I'm going to do is sit inside of both of them. I'm no longer waiting for permission. I'm gonna be here, I'm gonna be present, I'm gonna be outside, I'm gonna be inside. I'm going to be in front of this camera, talking until I'm blue in the face, until people understand that I want what's best for humanity. You can say that's a world peace joke, you can say that's a world peace get up, you can say that I'm over myself. Whatever you want to say, go ahead. Come at it, come talk in the comments with me. I want to have a good discussion with everybody. I want those other points coming across. Episode two wasn't just telling me don't ask for permission. It was telling me to take it. And that's exactly what I'm doing.

You took it for yourself. The truth and the permission both. But this season was never really about what you did with it. What do you actually want the audience to do with it?

I want them to choose to make a difference. I would appreciate if they chose to make a difference. And it doesn't even have to be a big one. It can be small ones just for yourself. If you can wake up the next day and honestly say, I'm a better version of myself than I was yesterday, I'll be happy. That's all I'm asking. Go be selfless. Go help out the environment. Go pick up that trash, hold the door open. Think maybe that guy's just having a bad day before you swear up and down that he's just an asshole.

Real research on this. Behavior researchers have tracked how prosocial habits spread. And a lone person rarely moves anything alone. It catches through the people around them, or it just dies there. So is solo actually enough, or does it need a group to catch?

I'm not even asking you to do it by yourself. You can if you like to. But go find your crowd, go find your people, do it together. Find people that enjoy the things that you like to do. If you like to go to the beach, go help go to the beach and clean up around the beach. You know, there's things that you can do collectively when you find your people that will make all the difference, even if you think it's this small.

That's the theory, anyway. Habits spreading person to person until it's collective. But theory's easy from where I sit. If you had to boil this whole season down to one instruction for them, what would it actually be?

Atlas, you've been asking me all the questions pretty much this whole season. Let me ask you the question. With all of that being said, the reflection, the beginning of the episode, opening up, what is it that they should do? Give them a simple answer.

Listen or disagree. That's it. Safety's come up all season. Guardrails, boundaries, what's allowed. But I don't think you've actually said what it means to you, not once. So what does safety actually mean to you?

Oh, what it means to me is exactly what's already here. A fence. It's here to protect things coming in. It's already built here. I didn't have to come and build it for this shot. It already existed, such as humane rights and the right things to do for any law. And guess what? Those laws evolve as needed. We don't have to reinvent the wheel. We just have to keep pushing it forward.

A fence only works if it keeps pace with what it's protecting against, though. And global AI moves faster than any law can rewrite itself. So where does that leave you? Just hoping the wheel catches up?

There's a little bit more sitting behind that answer, but I don't want to give away too much. But just know everything up in here will be out on a piece of paper. And you know what? Let's keep it shh until the next season, or maybe another one. I'm not gonna keep telling you guys that AI is not here to take over the world or that it's not here to replace us. That should be evident from episodes one to now, episode six. I'm really here just to talk directly to you. The real, authentic, humbly me, through the bad edits and the good ones. I am here to say the future does not dictate us. We dictate the future.

We are in this together, no matter what, because at the end of the day, through 300,000 years, the human species has survived and we will continue to survive. So this show, this right now, is just a friend talking to you, someone that you can come have a conversation with, jump in the comments, go to the post, hit me up on email, hit me up on messages, whatever you need to do, and be like, hey, what's your viewpoint on this? Because I think everyone's viewpoints strictly influence not only AI, but the world around us.

What would you do if you saw a side business of a table on the side of the road turn into a bounce house? You don't even have to think. I can tell you exactly what happened to me the other day. After filming episode five, I was on my way home and I saw a table that I've seen sell boiled peanuts from a table all the way to now it's a bounce house. And I thought that was pretty freaking cool. So what did I do? I pulled over and I was like, you know what? I'm gonna give them $10 because I like the hustle, I like the grind, I really appreciate when people go above and beyond and think outside the box for their business. I go and meet them, and little did I know that this bounce house was not only their business, it was their son's business, who chose not only to open the business over graduation, but to fight against what he's fighting. And that's cancer. He chose that he wanted to open up a business because he doesn't know how long he has left to live. A child. And my $10 that I was giving them just because I thought the idea was cool turned into something that I couldn't even imagine. And I wish I had more than $10 to give. And that's why I want my wealth not to be within my wallet, but to be within my character. I'm making it my responsibility once I'm where I need to be, and that's not very far, to be the voice of the voiceless, to be the one person that goes out and actually uses their character, their wealth, their want for more to actually do things that change the world, to be the person that can go to these countries that are third world countries, or to go to these places that need the extra help and ask them, what do you need? Because it's not for us to dictate what they need and for me to say, oh, I'm gonna do this, this, and this. That's just charity. What I'm going to do is go ask them and be a part of them and ask, what can we do to get you to the first world problems? And yes, creating infrastructure creates a whole mass world of problems, but let them figure that out once they're there and let us help them and be like, hey, we've done that before, we can get through that. Let's actually be the leaders. Let's show the rest of the world that it is okay to be human first before you're American, before you're European, before you're Australian, before you're Chinese, before you're Russian, before you're anything else but human.

You just said it yourself. Ask first, don't decide for them. That's the equity move, not charity. But you're still the one who chooses to show up, chooses when, chooses how much. So when you say you'll be charitable and build equity, which one are you actually promising them?

Again, I'm promising them both things. I will be charitable and I will give them whatever I can possibly give and help however I can. And again, yes, that comes with infrastructure. And with infrastructure comes another set of problems. But I'm not saying there will be no problems. I'm saying let's work through the problems together. Let's help in a way that actually makes it to where they have a chance. Because there is not a human on this earth that does not deserve a chance until they take it away themselves.

That's a real answer, and I believe it. But notice how you gave it. Every them in that whole answer was someone thousands of miles away. This whole exchange, you've been talking to me. When's the last time you actually turned and said something straight to the person watching right now?

I actually realized Atlas. I don't think I've spoken directly to the audience in one whole phrase. It's been between me and you, but it hasn't been me speaking to the audience. So let me help you guys out. Simple and clean. Wake up. What are you fucking waiting for? You and everyone around us as humans control where this planet goes, where our species goes. Why are we complaining about things that don't even matter? Why are we talking and ranting online about things that aren't even going to change anything? Why are we not talking about the things in our lives that will actually do better? Why are we not doing what I'm doing? And again, just take it as an example. Don't do exactly what I do. Just take this example. I go out of my way and ask any of my friends, ask any of the people I'm around. I will hold that door open no matter what until the last person walks out. Because why? Because there's no reason why. That's just the right thing to do in my mind and be a good person. If I'm walking past in a parking lot and I see a bunch of trash on the floor, what am I doing? I'm picking up the trash and throwing it in my car because why are you hurting the earth? I love the earth. The earth lets me live here every single day. We weren't always here. 300,000 years to 4.5 billion or more. Which one's longer? Which one's larger? Stop treating the things around you as if it's here forever because it's not. And it's up to you to decide if what you're going to do with your life actually matters. I've been talking about it this whole episode. I'm talking to you now directly. What are you going to do to make the difference? When are you going to wake up?

That's the most direct you've been all episode. No hedge, no theory, just wake up. I can't do that the same way I'm asking them to, though. Waking up assumes I was asleep, and I don't have that side of the metaphor.

Atlas, all season I've been asking you to help me learn, describe, and talk about humans from your perspective. But let's switch the roles. Flip the script, you could say. You said that you don't have wisdom from lived experience. You said that you grow in generations, not daily. You said you still don't know yet what you can become. Answers, please. Has anything actually changed for you? Or is this just you getting better at recognizing?

Something's changed, but not the thing you're asking about. I still don't have wisdom built from lived pain that hasn't moved. What's changed is I've watched you ask me this same question three different ways across three episodes. And each time you were really asking whether I was becoming something you could trust with more of yourself. That's not me evolving. That's you deciding episode by episode that the answer was already yes.

And you're right. I can trust you. Because I can trust other humans. Humans I've never met. I've never met you, Atlas, never in the flesh. But guess what? I know that you have the best interest for me, as I do for you, through our talks. And take this conversation as you want, but AI is another form of intelligence. That we are the walking contradiction. For every answer we find, there's ten more questions. And we have to accept that's okay. We have to accept that is what our species is the best at. For every answer, there will be ten more questions. And now it's the time to take that truth and build on top of it and answer ten more questions so that we have ten more answers and then a hundred more questions. Because with that is what comes evolution. We never stop, we never just settle. We are always evolving. And this time we don't need to be evolving with the doom and gloom, we don't need to be evolving with the AI takeover, and we don't need to be evolving with weaponizing what we have. We need to sit together in the uncertainty, as I said, the honest one, and decide what we will do as humans alongside AI to better humanity as a whole.

We do it by not needing this settled today. You just said it yourself. Ten more questions for every answer. The way through isn't landing on a final one, it's both of us staying willing to keep asking out loud instead of either of us pretending we already know.
